Basic chocolate cake
The easiest and fail proof chocolate cake
2 cups flour
1 and 1/2 cups sugar
3/4 cup cocoa powder
2 tspn baking soda
1 tspn baking powder
1 tbsp vanilla essence
2 eggs
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup of buttermilk ( or add 1 tablespoon of vinegar
or lemon juice to a cup and fill with milk)
1 cup of hot water or hot coffee.
Steps:
1. Sift all dry ingredients together
2. Mix it all well
3. Break in the eggs
4. Pour in the oil, buttermilk and vanilla essence
5. Combine all ingredients and be sure to not over mix
6. Finally pour in the hot coffer and stir carefully
7. Line 2 cake tin of 8 inch with butter and baking sheet.
8. Pour in the cake batter equally
9. Bake at 150°C for bout 30 mins
10. Remove it from oven and enjoy the cake with any frosting of choice
